Cotton Seed Processing starts with seed feeding. The desired seed is conveyed to seed cleaners for primary cleaning of contaminants viz. sand, stones, unginned bowels and metal pieces. The cleaned seed is then sent for to delinting. The linters are sent through cyclones, from where the lint is sent to cleaners for separating dust, hull pepper and meat powder. The cleaned lint is sent to lint press where it is pressed and packed in a bale of 200 kg.

Delinted cottonseed are sent to safety shakers where the extraneous iron material is removed powerful magnets. The delinted seed from safety shakers then move to de-hullers to break the seed. The broken seed and the meat is separated through perforated sheets. The Hulls are sent to density separators where hulls are separated by pneumatic arrangement from seeds and meat. The uncut seed is again sent to de-hullers. The hulls still contains some meat particles are sent to beaters where traces of meat are separated from the hulls. After beating these hulls are sent for bagging in 25 kg pack size. The meat collected from de-hullers, density separators and basket beaters are sent to expellers.

In expelling section the meat is cooked and crushed in expellers. Oil collected from the expellers is passed through different stages of filtration for removing of fine foot in the oil. The cleaned expeller oil is sent to storage tanks.

Cake coming from the expeller is sent to cracker & breaker unit for making suitable size for easy extraction in Solvent Extraction plant. In solvent extraction plant the cake and Hexane are passing counter currently over the extractor mesh. In extractor we are getting 20% concentrated miscella which is sent for distillation where the hexane vapours are passed through condensers. In condensers these Hexane vapors condensed and collected in solvent water separator. From here solvent is sprayed again on to the cake. The de-oiled cake from extractor sent to desolventiser and toasting unit for removal of hexane as well as inactivated the enzymes. We are getting oil from distillation section is sent for storage tanks this oil is called as Solvent Extracted Oil.

The oil collected from expellers and solvent extracted plant are sent to refinery section, the oil contains free fatty acids which are separated by adding caustic soda and forms soap. This soap is separated by centrifuges. This caustic soda process is a two stage process. First stage is for separating free fatty acids and second stage is for removal of colour pigments like gossypol. After the caustic soda process oil contains traces of soap, this soap is separated by adding water and sent to centrifuges where soap water is separated from oil, this oil is sent to intermediate storage tanks (NEUTRALISATION TANK), this process is called neutralization. From NOT oil is sent for bleacher where bleaching earth is added this bleaching earth adsorbs colour pigments in oil and press leaf filters where earth is separated from the oil and the oil is sent to polishing filters where fine particulars are collected and oil sent to bleached oil tank.

. This oil contains some amount of FFA, colour pigments & odors (natural and odors which are coming from bleaching earth) and sent to de- odourisation section where these undesired materials are separated and collected. The oil which is coming out of the de- odourisation is for edible purpose. In de-odourisation we are maintaining high vacuum and high temperatures. The Edible oil is sent for storage tanks. The liquid soap which is collected from the neutralization section is sent for hard soap unit where the liquid soap is treated with concentrated 48% caustic soda where the liquid soap is getting hard and water is separated. This hard soap is packed in boxes 70 kg. The water coming from soap unit is called as spent lye, this spent lye is sent to Acid Oil Plant where water is treated with concentrated sulphuric acid. After settling the oil floating to the top and water is discarded from the bottom, this acid oil is sent for storage tanks.

The water which is coming from the acid oil plant and refinery is sent to effluent treatment plant where the water is treated and utilized in our premises for ash quenching plantation and earth wetting. This final water meets the specification of PCB.

We have 8 MT of husk fired steam boiler for meeting the requirements of our processing plants like oil mill, refinery, solvent extraction Plant.
